Most girls I know get permanent saggy bellies after giving birth yet there was one who has had three babies and yet looks as if she hasn't even had 1 child. Is sagging genetics or is there really a way to prevent it? Ps, how many moms out there had saggy bellies after giving birth. Reply to this Question Share |

Sagging is genetic to some extent.
Use lots of good moisturizer (my plastic surgeon likes Vitamin E and Cocoa Butter) and when you can go back to exercising. Be aware that almost all women have lost muscles in their abdomen during pregnancy.. they SPLIT in the middle and only surgery can correct it…

My mom has a flat stomach and no stretch marks despite having two kids. As Cerberus said, you must wear a post pregnancy belly wrap or a corset, it really works. There is no saggy skin, it tucks the tummy in and prevents it from becoming all loose and floppy

You can always help nature along with exercise and a good diet Ask your midwife for some ideas or other mums you know. Pelvic floor exercises and sit ups are a must too.Dont get downhearted

Also she swears by the squat method of birthing. You may want to google it. But it's basically just squatting instead of lying down, it opens up you up more and uses gravity to let the baby come out. She had no tearing, didn't have to do much pushing either and her labour from broken waters to actually birth was quite short too.
Lying down is just to make the doctors life a little easier but it literally makes it 10 times harder to give birth. Increases the chance of tearing by 10 over squatting and well if you've ever used a Japanese or Chinese toilet them you can guess as to why that position is better.
Congratulations on the future addition to your family.
