My brother is gay and my family are totally fine with it but i can't build up the courage to tell them as i'm scared they wont accept having two gay children. I have also just got in a relationship with an amazing girl and i constantly feel like i'm walking on eggshells around people because they don't know who she really is. Was just looking for looking for some advice people may have. Thanks Reply to this Question Share |

You got it lucky in a way. Your brother was accepted and so will you. Look at it this way, he kind of paved the way for you.
We have an friend, he has 3 sons with 2 different women. They are ALL gay. And all accepted.
You got to be who you are, honey.

Exactly like Person12345 said!
They won't hate you, and it really is better to be true to yourself and those around you :)

There is no way that if your parents accepted your brother being gay that they won't accept you being gay. I know a family where the son and daughter are both gay and their parents love them and accept them both. I bet they already know and are just waiting for you to come and tell them. Courage. Take a deep breath and tell them! Think how much of a weight off your shoulders it will be.
