He has been hurt by his last girlfriend before, she cheated on him. Reply to this Question Share |

At the end of the day, the best thing is to tell him the truth, it would be much worse if yo led him along and then hurt him. It is the lesser of two evils I am afraid. I would tell him sooner rather than later too to try and lessen the hurt.I'm sorry if this is not wat you wanted to hear, but there is no real way to avoid him being hurt. x

You can't just change your feelings to suit someone else. You have to actually want to like them, not feel forced to like them because your scared of hurting them. Thats just not the way it goes unfortunately!
You can't leave him with the impression that you might him much longer or his feelings will get stronger for you and it will make it harder to be honest.
My advice would be to tell him outright while he has only just started to like you. Your not his girlfriend, your his friend so be straight and just explain that you like him . . . as a friend and as a friend only.
If he doesn't like it then I'm afraid it's his loss.
Hope this helps and good luck.
