He seems really sweet and has been texting me a few times a day for the last month or so. I do fancy him and he has given me the impression that he likes me too but i'm not sure when to take it to the next level ie inviting him to my house or going to his. I'm just worried as I don't know much about this guy- i've not met any of his freinds and he works for himself- how do i know hes safe- you hear so many horror stories! x

Firstly; so glad you're taking it slowly and cautiously! It might be worth you doing more of the same and trying to get to know him a lot more. After a few more times (when you feel comfortable) you could just invite him in for dinner. If you want to be super safe, maybe tell a friend about it so they know if something does happen someone will know who, what, where etc. Just a little insight into my personal life; my dad met a woman on the internet and a month later proposed to her - which she accepted. Sounds ridiculous and in my opinion is ridiculous. The internet is a dangerous place but at the end of the day, safe people use it as well. You've obviously taken the risk in meeting up with this guy and if he was going to do something, its likely he would've already done it. To sum up, just take it easy and back off if he shows a side to him that doesn't match up to the one you've seen before.
