It means absolutely nothing, it's just an affectation. Not so strange in USA, I know lots of people who end their messages or e-mails with "Love" or "Kisses" even when the personal degree of acquaintance would not warrant at all this kind of intimacy, it weirded me out a bit at first then I got used to it. Maybe he thinks that " love ya " sounds cool or young or hip :)- anyway don't read much into it, texts are just texts and rarely they say something meaningful about their sender.

Take it casually.
Keep in mind that texts are not true testimonials of one's feelings. Words are fleeting; actions show real intent.

Hmmm maybe he's just being friendly. In all honestly he cannot really love you if he doesn't even know you can he?
Some people just get over enthusiastic when they are going to meet someone new.
I would forget it and just see how the date goes...form your opinion of him on that and not on a text message. You will get a clearer picture after you have actually met him.
