A female reader, anonymous, writes (10 July 2009):

Yeah get a test as soon as you can. It could just be stress, over that event and over the possibility of being pregnant! My period is always regular, but one time I was really stressed over an exam I thought I'd fail and at the same time I was stressed thinking I could be pregnant, and my period was 11 days late. A similar thing happened to a friend of mine too. Try and relax until you find out what you're dealing with.

AuntyEm agony auntWell I guess the only way your going to know for sure is to do a pregnancy test. That way you can rule out the pregnancy thing. See if CONNEXIONS is available where you live. It's a service run for young people which includes family planning. I am pretty sure they can offer you a free test. It is possible that it could be stress related, but if it goes on for more than 2 weeks, then try to get a test...and some free condoms for the next time!!!!

I hope your ok
