If you have been trying and not yet got what you most desire, a baby then maybe you should go and get some tests done with your gp, i have been trying with my hubby for over four uears and then last year found out i have polycystic ovarian syndrome, you have eratic periods with that, i can't say as thats why yours have gone that way, but it affects 1 in 10 women.

They assess many things - diet, lifestyle, stress etc and help your body get back in balance naturally and have had some success helping people with fertility issues - might be worth a go before more medically based treatment?

As a father I can understand your desire to become a parent. Its the most amazing and enriching thing you will ever do. Frank B Kermit has some valid points, stress is probably a major source of your fertility and cycle problems. I did a little research for you, check this link out. It may not solve everything for you but at least you will find you arnt alone. I wish you and your family to come the very best.

Stress can ruin your chances at conception. I would suggest start to have sex for the fun of it, when you feel like it, and not use protection. The lack of stress might help your cycle become more regular and your body will turn itself on more automatically without the pressure and feeling like a failure. Try this for the next 6 months. If you still are not pregnant, then consult a fertility clinic.

However as far as having a child I'll give you the same advice that I try to give to any would be parent. Please look into adoption. The child may not have your genes but he or she will love you just as much as any child that did. There are so many children in this world in need of loving parents and you and your husband could give one of them a home.

Sometimes, as odd as it sounds...it doesn't happen because we think about it too much...stressing over it can make it hard to conceive..have you tried an ovulation predictor? they make some pretty fancy ones..that might help you catch that egg! good luck!

I think you, or your husband, preferably both should get fertility tests. This might be the reason for your difficulty. it's a possibility, so don't bet your money on it. Best thing would be to consult your doctor.
Best of luck, and take care.
