For about a year now, everytime we have sex my vagina hurts after it! its like its been over stretched. We don't have a problem with lubrication. I have had chlamidya test and so I can eliminate that being a cause (I never thought that would be the reason anyway) My boyfriend is very supportive and helpful with this problem but I would like to have sex in other locations and because my vagina hurts it makes it impossible. My questions are;Has anyone else experienced this?Any possible causes for it?Anything to stop this from happening? Thanks . X

As far as lube, make sure you are using water based lubricant if you rely on condoms for protection. Petrolium based lubes like vaseline can deteriorate the condom and cause it to break.

For a while, my vagina would hurt during and after sex, like there was a scratch or tear that was getting rubbed wrong.
I had my gyno take a look and she didn't see anything wrong.
My own remedy was to take plenty of time getting worked up during foreplay, and use lube if we needed. I also took a break from sex for about a week and a half just in case anything needed time to heal.
Hope this helps.

I had the implant taken out and I'm not on microgynon 30 and the situation is exactly the same. So good to know that someone else has had this too. X

I am experiencing this, but I am having lubrication issues. The cause could be vaginismus - becuase we are anticipating pain, the vagina opening is contracting and making penetration more difficult if not impossible.http://www.vaginismus.comRelaxation, patience and not focusing on it by touching in non-sexual ways to take the focus off vaginal intercourse.I know when your vagina hurts, everything about you hurts - even your eyelashes. You may need to go back to your gynecologists to talk about psychological causes or for further testing.Good luck.

Do you have any bleeding after sex/abnormal or offensive discharge, or anything else unusual down there?Maybe you should go see a gyno, to rule out anything that may be wrong. In the meantime, take it easy, and go for positions you find comfortable.
