Social skills are exactly that... a skill at being social.
and how do we learn a skill?
We practice.
The more we practice, the better we get.
This is exactly the same with social skills. There is no magic pill for getting rid of social awkwardness... well booze, but none for you yet youngster! What you really need to do is throw yourself into as many social settings as you can. Force yourself to interact. Even if you feel like a fool... who cares?! Everybody is already way too focused on their own lives to care if you bumble around a few words.
Forget facebook, but its definitely worth trying some extracurricular activities!
