I'm so angry and ambrassed?I was working out with my personal trainer and I'm kinda shy so I couldnt look at him straight so i was looking around the gym. and alot of changes has taken place there so I was just looking. He kept saying concentrate and stop looking at guys. I was looking at this girl cause I thought she was my friend she looked alot like her and he asked if I'm looking at Bradley (his colleague) I said who is that? He said it really loud aswell and one of his colleague was nearby and he told him to follow my eyes and see who I was looking at.What was that about? I felt so ambrassed? Why does he think I'm looking at guys? I'm far from that. If I was there for attention I'd be wearing the most skimpiest cloths like most girls there but I just wear leggings and a hoodie.I'm so angry. Why did he behave like that?I'm 23 he's 25.

I look at everyone when i work out. They are there, I have eyes, and I look. And I m not going to allow some trainer to make condescending remarks to me.

He behaved like that because you were not paying attention to your work out and were letting your attention ,and your eys, wander .Very annoying for the trainer. He resorted to a JOKE ( a rather unsophisticated one, agreed ) to make you focus your attention on what you were doing.

I agree 100% with manfox
Just sack him off and do your own workout.
You don't sound very focused on working out at the gym though, so maybe doing Pilates,Yoga, Aerobics or Zumba classes is for you or swimming alone, doing lengths

Because you did not correct him, he thought you were staring at men instead of paying attention. He seems like a bit of a jerk. Are there any other personal trainers you can choose?

you should tell him to get lost and never use him again - gym personal trainers are the biggest knobs to ever grace the gym floor. £40 an hour waste of money. learn to use the equipment and do your own program and eat well that all you need to know.

You don't look around the gym when you are supposed to focusing on your own workout. That's how people get hurt. You have to FOCUS on whatever it is you're doing. This doesn't mean you stare at your trainer either. Unless your trainer is always exactly in front of you so you don't hurt your neck or back, you keep your head aligned and spine aligned unless you are doing twisty crunches or other lateral moves.
He was trying to get you to FOCUS. He doesn't think you're looking at guys, he thinks you are allowing yourself to get distracted and he did it by calling you out on it.
He may have made a mistake in not understand how shy and traumatized you would be. Not everyone is a mind reader, so now you tell him how he can redirect you when you lose focus.
"Bob, hey, I was really embarassed by that comment you made about looking at guys. I know you may not realize how shy I am and how difficult this is for me, to be in the gym, so let's find another way to redirect my attention when you think my mind is wandering off. Let's choose the word "FOCUS!" So when you see my mind wandering when I'm supposed to be focusing on a move, you say, "FOCUS, GINNY!! FOCUS!" and then I will come back to the present moment and pay attention to what I am doing.
If you find it difficult to work out with a male PT, find a female one.

Wow you have blown this out of the water.
age does not matter
what you wear does not matter
his JOB is to get you to focus on your workout.. if you are focused on looking around.. you are not focused on your work out and your form and your reps.
don't over think this.
do you think your trainer is cute?

He said it for one reason and one reason only, to get you to focus on the task he had set you. That's what you pay him for, if you want to check out the place do so before or after your session. Are you paying him to let you wander off or to train OP? Well he's going to do and say almost anything to make sure you keep your focus otherwise he's just a shit PT. You need to grow a thicker skin and if you want to get the full benefit of having a personal trainer, then focus!
