My periods have been regular for more than seven years - until now. What could be causing the difference?

A female United Kingdom age 30-35, *adycharm writes:

am 17 years old and started my periods when i was 9 and they have been regular but this month my period only lasted 3 days when they usually last for 5 to 6 days there is no chance of me being pregnant i was just wondering is this normal

aphexinfinite agony auntyeah it should be ok, for a start my periods were clock work then one day i wouldnt have one for two months or four months/ always stressing i was pregnant even though we used pill and condom.. so stresses can contribute to it but i wouldnt worry..and if you are see your gp gd luck aphex xx

I was regular every month until recently and now it's all over the place since the stress of my exams!

Don't worry, little things in life can change when you're on your period and when you finish, little things like stress, new medication etc.

Try not to worry :)
