Dear Cupid

I am 22 years old. I was in a relationship for 4 years and 7 months and about 2 weeks ago my ex and I broke up. We have known each other for about 8 1/2 years and I really want to get back with him. Our break up was not mutual. He told me that he no longer wanted to be with me because I drive him crazy and he could not explain the reasons why.

It turns out that he is now dating a 18 year old girl and she likes him, but she left her ex boyfriend to be with my ex and it is driving me nuts. He tells me that he still loves me and we have been intimate a couple of times since our break up but the other girl does not know anything about it.

I do not know what to do, he says that we still have a chance of getting back together, but I do not want to keep on waiting for him, nor want to get into a relationship with someone else. I love him with all of my heart, but it hurts a lot because we are still living together. I am planning on moving out in a couple of months. He still drives me to work and school, but he spends about 8 to 10 hours a day with this other girl and it makes me feel uncomfortable, knowing that he is with her and that he is hardly getting any rest because he spends so much time with her. He tells me that he has not done anything with her only makeout, but I do not know whether to trust him after this or not.

I still care about him and I want to continue on being with him, but not while someone else is in the picture. He is confussed and I feel that the other gilr is just in the way. I do not know what to do, should I ignore him and try to move on or should I let him know how I feel and see if we can get back together. This other girl has written him a note that she has fallen in love with him, but I feel that a few weeks is not long enough to fall in love with someone. Also, while we were going out he was meeting up with her just to talk as friends and he has assured me that he did not even kiss her during that time. I do not know what to think or believe. He likes her personality, but still loves me, but I was giving advice to act like I do not care and eventually he will come back to me. What should I do? I really need your help.

Thank you ~NeedAdvice~

I am going through a simular situation. Trust me this guy is just using you. You have to move out of there and whenever he calls you don't pick up the phone. Within a month or 2 he will end up breaking up with that girl. She is too young for him to have anything serious with her. He's only seeing her right now because your still there. I know this. But once your out of his life he will want you more. Men always want what they can't have. Girl trust me on this. I know it's hard but it's worth it in the end. Good luck!!!

Hi There

First of all, this guy is only claiming to love you. Love is a 'doing' word and by seeing this other girl (and by the sound of it telling you all about it) he isn't showing you any love.

Secondly, you are very young to have been in this relationship for 4+ years. There is a whole world out there and loads of really nice guys to meet.

You should really try to move out as soon as possible. This is for your own sake and to show him that you will not be treated in this way, cos at the moment he is having the best of both worlds.

Good luck and take care out there.

don't wait for him. you know he's seeing someone else. they will feel as you did if she finds out. he's trying to get everything his way without thinking about anyone else. he's not worth the trouble. find someone who only wants you
