We have been out 2 times so far and he wants to meet up again this weekend..where he wants me to go over to his place for dinner. He never rings me though.. I'm always the one doing the ringing or texting...so i hve now stopped, to let him take a bit of the lead...but its not working. We talk online regulary but sometimes he seems to not want to talk to me when we arre both online. Or he seems to go online for a few minutes and then goes off line..I thought maybe at first that he was possibly doing that to check if i am going online and talking to guys..which i do, but now im just not sure if that is why or if he is just talking to girls still...which makes me a little jealouse...i know bad isnt it.. How can i tell if a guy likes me..he has not even kissed me yet. Im confused whether he actually likes me or just doesnt know how to get rid of me with out being rude.. I'm not sure. Maybe im just being silly!

sounds like he's avoiding your company, the best thing you can do is back off. People you meet over the net are met on the net because they dont have strong social skills or are sometimes lonely. This might be social overload with this man or he is just not interested but socially capable.
either way its a waiting game-the ball is in his court

I would just wait until the next time he is online. Then just flat out ask him where this is going. If he says he would rather just be friends, at least you know. Then you can move on.
He might just not want to come off as needy.

Ask him outright if he is interested in you. explain to him that you are doing all the running and are getting tired of it. If he is a decent guy then he will tell you if he doesnt want to continue on. If that is the case, learn from your mistakes and move on.
Good luck
