My mum told me of how they live on £4.50 a week when she was younger and I think jeez I almost get twice that an hour lol.. does anyone else feel the same ?

I work over 50hr weeks and my jobs very physical so I'm tired all the time and I find myself day dreaming most of the time when I have the time during work whilst waiting for the next task.. jeez my day dreams seem better than anything else in life because so many things seem unreachable these days what's happened to life that we have to dream in order to get some peace of mind huh? You know, many people around the world live with less than one dollar (0.5 pounds) a day. That's 3.50 pounds a week. And many of those lives are happy and worth living.

I think your mother is trying to tell you that, yes, you should appreciate what you have; but, also, that money isn't everything. How much would you pay for a sincere friendship? And money can't give you that.
