My hormones are controlling me and it's horrible. Help!

Question - (31 May 2009) 3 Answers - (Newest, 1 June 2009)
A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I know hormones are very normal for my age but I can't cope with them. I always get upset when I am on my period; I sometimes feel aggressive. I'm one of those people that don't start fights and probably wouldn't fight back, but recently I have been in a few. They hit me first and I got angry and hit them back and a fight broke out.

I hate this. When I am on my period I start to feel as though my boyfriend doesn't love me anymore and that he has had enough because he doesn't talk a lot on MSN. If he doesn't talk for 10 mins I always ask him who else he is talking to.

I started my periods at 11 and I am now 15 and since I was 14 I have had this problem. I think of all my problems and start to cry ALL THE TIME. I have just about had enough of this. I can't take it anymore.

Please help me!

Thanks for all comments. I have been on the pill but I kept falling asleep and fainting, the doc said the pill was to strong for me and that I had to lay off the pills for 6 months and it has been 2 months and I cant handle it.

blueys491 agony auntI had this same problem when i was your age, I was a complete emotional wreck and seemingly bipolar. It's true this is just a phase. But if its becoming such a big problem thats its affecting your day to day life there are birthcontrol pills that will help handle these emotions, that is what I had to end up doing. Of course I dont know how it works in the U.K but its worth a shot! : )

I went through the same thing at your age and is absolutely natural. I ended up being pretty emotionally stable. Anyhow here is a website that breaks down what you are going through. http://www.menstruation.com.au/pubertyplace/changes.html

Hope it helps
