My boyfriend is having a big birthday coming up on July 12th. He has had a lot of pressure lately and he has been really down. I know I help to bring his spirits up usually but I just really want to do something incredibly special for him. I've already bought him a few presents and I've started making a list for him. It is a list of all the things I love about him. But the problem is, I don't know how to present the list. I don't just want to hand him a piece of paper, but I'm not the most innovative or creative person. I want to make him something he can use and it will remind him of me, especially because next year I'll be in college. (we'll be separated). a few helpful insights into him might be: he is obsessed and looves blue, he loves anything handmade, he loves the mountains, pictures, traveling, and politics. i need help soon!! any suggestions at all will be appreciated!!!! thanks so much

sammi star agony auntThat sounds really great, I'm sure he's gonna love it! Why not use Legioness' advice and present it to him after a walk and a picnic? Good idea though :) x

0k thanks so much for all the imput! i appreciate all the great ideas. i think i have decided to do a scrapbook. i know it's cliche but i think he'll really love it next year. i'm going to 1-4 of statements from the list of the things i love about him on each page. also im going to use stickers, designs, drawings, pictures, or any other symbolic things to represent the different statements. at the end im going to do i page or two on just pictures of me and how i've evolved and then on the last page i'll write a message and put a photo of us. how does that sound?

Legioness agony auntMaybe get him something engraved? Like a dog tag necklace or something? You could even pick up a cheap engraving kit and have a go at it yourself, it really is rather easy once you get the hang of it :) also the collage idea is a brilliant one, sammi star. Also, if he's been stressed out lately why not arrange a day for you two to just chill out together, perhaps a picnic in the park, a long walk somewhere with beautiful scenery, maybe even somewhere with mountains and blue sky :)

sammi star agony auntI'm not sure about something he could use but if he likes pictures why not make and frame a huge collage that will remind him of you whenever he looks at it? take all the things on your list and write them on seperate pieces of paper, or a few on each piece if there's a lot and get someone to take photos of you holding up each piece, then arrange them all the pics inside a frame with the title 'things i love about you' or something like that at the top? i've done something similar before and it was like their fave present! Good luck hun x
