reader, anonymous, writes (26 January 2009): hi my boyfriend is the same he is obsesssed by anal sex and doesnt seem to want normal sex only if its leading up to anal. i know how you are feeling and how annoying it can be. recently Ive not allowed any anal sex and now he's started excepting the fact i dont always want anal and started having normal sex. all you have to do is talk to your bf and tell him its nicer to have normal sex and if he loves you he will listen to you and meet your needs as well as his. this doesnt mean stopping anal alltogether but just making sex good for the both of you. i used to see my bf as sexually selfish but once he understood its not always what i want and necessarily enjoy he then met my needs. good luck..dont always give him what he wants!

 I would talk to him about it. It that is just about all he wants to do, but not what you want to do there is a bit of lacking communication.
There are sooo many others thing you can do in the bedroom ( as I'm sure you know :) ) Make tell him that you would really like when he does to this or that..
I think a lot of the whole anal sex deal is the taboo part of it, the fact that it is "dirty, forbidden and naughty" - he might just be really glad that you like it too.

I can tell you first hand that guys will generally want to try anal sex for many reasons that I'm sure you are already aware of.
If his sexual appetite is making you uncomfortable then I advise you to let him know in a way that will not be threatening, however remain clear and direct.
Do you enjoy anal sex? First answer that. If it is no, then you need to be honest and direct with him about that. I do not think it is a control issue. Some men just have a specific sexual appetite and sex drive.
