missmel34 agony auntI happen to wax down there....perhaps you should try that.

Lol...but seriously. If you don't like it, don't do it. Its that simple. She asked, you tried, you didn't like it...so whats the problem. Just don't do it again.

If she refuses to have sex with you because you have pubic hair, then thats the warning bells for "selfish lover"...get out while you still can.

Good Luck

aww man i know how you feel

tell her if she ever wants to take it to sex

that its not right for a guy to shave down there

i'd never expect a lass to shave hers for me

same goes the other way round

sex isn't going to be much fun if you're sore

and i'm sure she'd rather have sex with hairy you than red bumpy you!

A reader, anonymous, writes (5 December 2007):

The best advice I ever got about removing the hair from "downstairs" was to use a hair removal cream.

I used to get angry red bumps the day after I shaved and the hair would always grow back really sharp!, it kinda took the fun out of its purpose IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!.

So try using a good hair removal cream, you dont get red bumps, it grows back really soft and not sharp and then you girlfriend wont get stubble rash! haha!!.

Sorry I coulnt resist it!.

ok good luck in everything you do.

A male reader, CorpusDei United States +, writes (5 December 2007):

CorpusDei agony auntShort answer - use a good razor and good shaving gel.

Long answer - The skin around your genital area is very sensitive and if you've never shaved before _will_ get irritated the first few times you shave. To reduce the irritation, use a good razor (I've used a Gillette Mach 3 for awhile now and it's served me very well). You'll want to use a shaving gel for sensitive skin. I don't really recommend shaving cream, but that's more my personal preference. Before you shave, use clippers or scissors to trim the hair down as closely as you can in the area you want to shave. If you're just shaving your balls be sure to trim your bush down as well. No sense cleaning up only half. Once you've got everything trimmed, jump in the shower or tub and soak the area in water that's slightly warmer than lukewarm to help soften the hairs. Shave with short strokes and rinse the razor head out _very_ frequently. Pubic hair is typically very coarse and will clog the razorblades, causing a much rougher shave. Once you've finished, dry the area and use a little talcum powder to help cut down on itching and sweating, which may be an issue the first couple of weeks.

Some things to expect - It will itch pretty badly for the first week to two weeks and you may get a little sweat rash. Use talcum powder during the day or a little aloe vera gel at night to relieve these. Do not use alcohol-based aftershaves as they will dry the skin out and cause the itching to get worse. Depending on the type of hair you've got, it's also pretty likely that you'll get some ingrown hairs. This will, in fact, suck very badly when you have to go digging with a needle or something to get the hair out, but again - things like this should diminish very rapidly once your skin acclimates to being shaved. After you've shaved the first time, give your skin about 2-4 days to calm down again before you shave again. Once you get used to it, you can touch things up every couple of days with no problem.

Now, by day 4 or 5 of all this, you'll be asking yourself why the hell you would want to go through all this BS. Here's a couple of really good reasons. Number one, it makes your dick look bigger. It really does. Why do you think male porn stars shave? Number two, it'll be a lot easier to convince your girlfriend to go down on you if she's not having to pick hairs out from between her teeth. (This goes for you ladies too. A guy will spend more time down there if he doesn't feel like he's flossing) Number three, it's just a lot cleaner and you'll feel better.

Bottom line, push your way through the initial discomfort and you'll be fine.

A female reader, rockelle United States +, writes (5 December 2007):

rockelle agony auntJust a little tip in addition to peoriaman said remember to shave in the direction that the hair grows, more than likely a downward motion. If you shave against that direction it will cause ingrown hairs. And always use a clean razor (unused). But continue to shave only if it is what you feel comfortable with. I prefer a man to be as nicely clean and shaven as I am but shaving is a personal choice and if you choose not too then she should respect that.

Dont worry it will all grow back as quick as lightening. I hope you are not going to be doing everything that she says in the future or we will be blocking off all those cliffs!!! Just in case she tell you to jump off. If you must shave then i think peoriaman is spot in (pardon the pun!).

take care

A reader, anonymous, writes (5 December 2007):

Maybe she was testing the limits of what you would do if she asked.

If she can't take you as you are, pubes and all, you really would be better off looking for a different girl. Shaving down there for a man is certainly not an easy thing to do. I've only ever done it once in my life and that was for a very good reason.

Having shaved, it'll be smooth for just a couple of days, and then the itching starts - and last for weeks, unless you shave again. The more you shave, the more you'll need to shave as the hair grows back thicker each time. Ask any girl who shaves her legs!

You're not old enough for sex anyway.

Phil
