hi i think that you should be straight and honest with this girl. take her to one side on her own and explain to her that you would prefere to be friends. tell her sooner or later or she may start to feel hurt and used. also be sensitive with the subject. but in the future only say something like this to someone in the future if you really mean it. things get around people wont want to know you if they think you do this all the time. good luck

I suggest that you tell her you wish to talk to her an take her to one side either after school or during a break. Tell her that it was your mates idea as a joke and that you just want to be friends with her at the moment.It wasnt your idea an you didnt want them to say it,an that you are sorry if her feelings were hurt.
