The law in the United Sates is that a teacher involved with a student in a public school, even if that student is 18 or over is commuting a felony. She probably would not get in any trouble except for her parents, but he could get in loads of trouble. If she really likes the guy she should leave it alone till she graduates.

I am a teacher and it would make me really uncomfortable. I'd be flattered but it would really make me feel strange.
It could be really embarrassing for your friend and for the teacher and she's setting herself up to be hurt. Even if he's not married, there's no way an underage student and teacher could have a relationship. That is not right. It would be morally wrong and the teacher would lose his job if he were exposed.

omg this reminds me of last year when my mate shouted out in the assembly that she loved mr b, one of our teachers!
it was so funny, but she did get in a whole lot of trouble afterwards. also, the teachers can't say anything back, because they can get in trouble sometimes if theres a "suspected relationship" going on between a teacher and pupil, even though it was only a comment from a pupil :/

She will be removed from all classes with him, and may even be asked to leave the school. She will also be permanently embarrassed. And at worst, the teacher might end up having to leave the school. She's being naive.

I doubt she will get herself into trouble but I can pretty much guarantee she get a huge helping of embarrassment. But then some people just have to find out these things the hard way so there's not much you can do about it.
