Now I feel upset, hurt and very angry. The lie was small but still hurtful. She kept denying the truth and I'm confused. I don't like being around liars. I just can't be open with her anymore. I do want to continue being her friend but should I trust her? I don't want to.

I often have trouble with trust after finding out someone's lied or hid something from me. It hurts and it's a horrible feeling that you can't trust them. But honestly don't worry. You can't tell anyone everything, no matter how close.
Look beyond what your friend's done to you. She must have had her reasons for denying it and not telling you. I'm sure there's been plenty of occasions where you've not been totally honest with someone. So even if you're upset and angry, just consider it from her point of view. If she's your friend then there should be a valid enough reason behind it all.
Don't just throw away your friendship over a lie. Everyone makes mistakes and do things that hurt others. So look at your friend as a whole. Is she all together a good friend? You must want to be her friend if you were so upset about her lies.
Hope I helped. X

If you don't want to be her friend then don't be. You can pick your friends.

It depends what she lied about. Is there anything specific? And it also depends why she lied as well.
