writes: Hi, I write on behalf of my friend who needs serious help from you all.She just told me yesterday to help her, that she has been diagnosed with chronic ulcer and depression due to the fact that she has been in love with her uncle that lives with them she knows it's insane but she had tried all she could to stop it but it kept growing. She confessd to him and he sat her down privately to advice her but she stupidly tried seducing him. Now he says he's leaving and is threatning to tell her parents if she doesnt stop. Yet she cant. It is obsession. She doesnt sleep or eat well. Always crying. I dont knw what to do now that she has confided in me. Reply to this Question Share |

reader, anonymous, writes (6 May 2011): She needs help and she also needs to be away from him. If she's in love with him she may never get over it if she is around him all the time. That's the most important thing, she removes him out of her life for now.

I'm sure you've already told her she needs help, that obsession isn't healthy, incest is wrong, etc. All you can really do now is listen if she needs to talk and give her the best advice you can.
Beyond that, this is an internal family matter and you shouldn't involve yourself. Unless you hear that she or her uncle is threatening something dangerous or illegal, just stay out of it. They are both adults, it's up to them to work this out.
