I think maybe its worth taking the chance, if you don't you will always wonder what might have been, and would it have worked. Some of the strongest and best relationships stem from being good friends first.

Who knows what the future holds but if being together makes you happy then go for it if your friendship is stong then it can survive a break up, its a risk but if it makes you both happy and if you feel strongly for each other go for it
