Was in a 10 year relationship with my NOW Ex-partner as I agreed to finish his house off...However he has got a solicitor and asking alot more than agreed,Im really needing advice what can he claim for knowing that he got a first homers grant in 2003 saying that he was single..however his lawyer (knowing I have properties is asking for property settlement even though he didnt contributed financially?

Please assist me this time...Thank you

ingotblue agony auntThe only thing I can think of is to have a word with your solicitor, you need someone that knows how the leagal side of these things work.

I dont know how things work in America (or england for that matter lol) but the only sound advice I can give is get in touch with some one that knows.

It sounds like he wants to take you for everything you have got or atleast a fair sized chunk.

Get a solicitor yourself and fight fire with fire.
