So what I don't understand is why my ex would want me to be there too.It's only been a month since we broke up and we haven't talked for a month and then all this comes up. Plus if he had moved on then why would he want me to go bowling with them at all?

I would honestly not go. I don't think he's setting you up with a mate or something. I think he's setting you up to see him and his new girlfriend to make you hurt.
Stay well away from this ex and continue to move on.
