writes:hey im in a situation were im not comfortable and i dont no what to do!my dad has become very protective of his phone. he will always text at night and when im in another room he will text to this anonymous person or persons. and when he does it, its very desecrate. he would grab a pillow so i cant see him texting. and when i walk in to the room he would hide it but its really blatant coz he doesn't do it fast enough. this has been happening for quite a while now. i havnt got the balls to look at his messages because im worried to find somthing that im hoping isnt the case! (cheating) in week days and weekends he is completely fine. its only at nights i have noticed the tex messages have started. he will do it when my mum has gone to bedbut what gets me is that he does it so secretly which makes me feel awkward and starts me thinking who he is texting to, because if he was texting to a friend u wouldn't act suspicious, or you wouldn't hide your phone when i would come into the room it could just be me being silly please help!

Your not being silly. I imagine most people would feel uncomfortable in your situation.
As tempting as it may be, I wouldnt look through his phone.
I really think you should ask him about this. Maybe in a subtle 'joking' sort of way, for instance saying something like 'you're popular tonight' or 'you get more texts than me' when somebody texts. At least this way he'll realise that you have noticed about it. You'll also be able to see from his reaction whether he is hiding something or not.
