Truth is not always the easy option but is always the best! If you have had this crush on someone for a long time that you can build up very high expectations of them, give the relationship time, I would suggest a second date and you try to spice things up a little as well to show your interest in him. It's better to break it off now and leave him with a little heartbreak then lead him on and then leave him with a lot of heartbreak and even anger or regret.
