My dog had a similar episode not so long ago. It turned out she'd picked up a frog. Part of the defence mechanism of a frog is to exude some foul-tasting nausea-inducing slime from its skin which caused the dog to excessively salivate and it made her most unwell. It took her about 3 days to get over it and rather than trying to catch them, she backs away from frogs these days.

sarcy24 agony auntI have 7 cats and sometimes when they have eaten something very bitter they can start drooling and producing foam. Has she been out in the garden? Often mine come in like this. Give her face a wash and clean off the drool and try to splash some water in her mouth and see if that helps. If not take her to the vet. I would imagine she is uncomfortable after eating a bitter plant. My cats often dribble if they have caught a frog/ toad as they have a very bitter outer coating. Some seeds such as laburnum are very poisonous to cats too. Catch her and have a look in her mouth, clean her up and then take it from there. Any doubt whatsover take her to the vet. All the best,

Cats often change their behaviour suddenly. Going from purring to hissing at you for no reason. If your cat is just becoming an adult then this is pretty normal. Dribbling isnt all that unusual either. As for the foaming, maybe your cat has eaten something a bit nasty? If she keeps it up, ring the vets, they shd tell you what to do next. Good luck xxx

Jamer70 agony auntim no vet which is why you should take her to one. it may cost a bit. If you can try and find a charity vet and make a donation to cover their costs, they are alot cheaper. But just take you pet to the vet.

I LOVE cats I have 8 I no crazy cat lady! lol. You should have her checked out at a vet coz for a proper diagnosis youd realy have to see her. But foaming at the mouth!?! Sounds like rabies very serious if she starts eating the furniture take her strait to the vet!

All the best =] x
