My boyfriend wants a break. What do I do?

Question - (14 March 2010) 1 Answers - (Newest, 15 March 2010)
A male United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

My boyfriend and I have been dating for about 2 1/2 months and he said he wants a break. Everything was going great, we spent the weekends together and always expressed to each other how much we care one another. The day before he asked for a break he did seem a little down and upset, but before then everything seemed perfect and it came as a total shock when he talked to me about this. What should I do?
