A female United States age 26-29, *enniferashley3 writes:

My boyfriend tells me today that "you have no reason to love me or care about me, you just do. Which is pretty much you don't love or care about me. " Well we have been fighting about this for hours now. How do I tell him I love him and care for him? I told him I care for him because I love him so much and he cares so much about me, but then he said "we ain't talking about loving eachother!"

I don't know what to do and I can't let my love think I dont actually care for him. He's my world. How do I tell him i care for him?!?

A male reader, CaringGuy United Kingdom +, writes (29 January 2011):

Look, this is utterly meaningless on his behalf. You've already told him you care for him. What's he expecting here? Stop arguing, and tell him that you do care for him, and that he can either believe it or not.

This is a sign of someone who might cause you pain, by the way, so be wary of his behaviour.
