What makes people say "I Love you" at times when they wouldnt normally express themselves?Any advice on how to take drunken ramblings?

However, I also was drunk when I realized I fell in love with my current boyfriend, and I told him that I fell for him while I was drunk. Understandably, he made me wait until I was sober to make sure I meant it, but to him, I meant that I love you. To everyone else, it's just me being affectionate as just a friend.

I can't tell you how many people I've said "I love you!" to while drunk. Then proceeded to tell them why. And everyone else at Denny's. Or to the cops.
This probably doesn't mean anything, unless you two have a history together. Go hang out with him if you're interested and see if it goes anywhere, but don't mention the text unless he does - in which case, laugh it off. Otherwise just ignore it.

Drink tends to knock down a lot of the barriers we normally put up so maybe this drunken text was the truth.
Its hard to tell without speaking to the guy, have you thought about trying that?
the ice has already been broken, by him, so sieze the moment and ask him if he meant it!
