writes: Hey guys this is more of a health question but i cant find any help any were on the internet so i was hopeing you guys could help. Well my boyfriend is 18 and about two days ago he started feeling sick. He will feel really hot and break out in to a sweat and than he will get really cold and it happens over and over again. today he said he just feels awful and cant even sleep. I have been telling him to go to the doctor but hes to stuborn to go and says he doesnt care what happens. I have no clue what is wrong. Has this ever happened to any of you? and do you think it will just go away on its own? Thank you for your time and if u haven any idea or clue it would be really helpfull thank you.

The symptoms you're describing are also consistent with the flu. It's premature to assume that he's got something serious that requires medical attention.
If his 'stubbornness' is borne of fear then nagging him or trying to terrorise him into visiting a doctor will backfire. Besides, if he's that ill, he naturally doesn't feel like going out to sit for hours in some waiting room.

sounds like flu the best thing you can do is give him some paracetamol and lots of fluids no tea/ coffee of alcohol. ^I know candid cally is saying its a side affect to coming of certain drugs but that is not always the case if he is also suffering from server cramps all over his body then yes it could be withdrawal symptoms and he needs to see a doctor. You can always make the appointment for him and take him to the doctor.

Does he use or abuse medications containing opiates or benzodiazepines? The symptoms you are describing can occur when someone abruptly stops taking these types of medications.
