A male reader, fulup8 United States +, writes (25 November 2008):

There is another area of pain, in the external area of the penis. If he has a tight foreskin and with an erection his glans (head) fails to appear, then consider that has phimosis. The best cure or preventive for this situation is circumcision. Also the bridge of skin under the penis head, which connects the glans to the shaft may have torn, leading to bleeding and pain. Again circumcision with removal of the skin bridge, the frenum, is called for.

Bleeding from the penis opening and the urethra (tube form the bladder through the penis) when he urinates must be addressed by a doctor or better yet by a urologist.

In either case he needs to seek medical attention right away.

SamuraiRick agony auntI had UTI for a year and my doctor didn't detect it. I went to a different doctor and he did find the problem because he ran different tests. UTI is mostly commen to women, and so thats why my previous doctor overlooked it. But to say the least he's not my regular doctor anymore. I didnt have the symptom of painful erections, but I did urinate blood, and it also appeared in my semen. It can be treated with a simple prescription. In my case it cleared up and I'm back to normal.

deejuliet agony auntAgain, it is the kidney stones then that are making him 'pee blood' and having or not having sex will not change this. Having intercourse will not stop or aleviate the pain or blood. They are not even remotely related. If he tries to tell you they are and he needs you to have sex so that he wont have pain or blood then he is an outright lier.

Has he been to see a doctor? I'm pretty sure that if this were true almost all men who had this 'problem' would consult someone straight away.

It's sounds to me like he's doing it to make you feel bad and to have more sex with him. This is disgusting and manipulative, dump the tosser and find someone who will have a mature converstaion instead of using mind games on you.

A female reader, deejuliet United States +, writes (25 October 2007):

deejuliet agony auntHaving an erection that does not end in orgasm can cause some mild 'pain' only if it is for a very extended time. A guy will not have pain with every erection that does not end in intercourse or orgasm or guys would be doubled over constantly as they get erections (especially at his age) all the time!! An erection without intercourse will NEVER be the cause of 'peeing blood' Either he is just telling you a bunch of BS to try to get you to have sex out of guilt that if you dont you are hurting him, or he is actually ill with a UTI or STD that has absolutely nothing to do with his unsatisfied erections. If it is the former, you need to dump his loser, manipulative ass. If it is the latter, he needs to get to the doctor right away.

This sounds to me like it could be some 'sexual blackmail', but if he really is peeing blood he'd better get himself off to the doc or even hospital pdq. And if I were you I wouldn't want a bloody penis anywhere near MY bits.

Apart from the blood issue, the 'pain' is commonly known as 'blue balls' and is caused by being in a constant state of erection, also known as 'Priapism' by the medical establishment.

hey, you really need to get him to see a doctor. whether he's a virgin or not it doesn't matter. I'm a nurse and this is quite concerning. it could be an STI or a urinary tract infection, or a problem with his prostate or his bladder, etc. it could be a number of things and i would definitely get him to see a dr SOON (not to the ER or anything) but definitely soon.
