I had to break it off with him though because it started getting awkward. Well that was 3 years ago and he hasn't dated anyone since. Now he told me he is in love with me. He asked for a response to it, and I asked him to give me a few days to think about it. I don't feel the same way back, I only see him as a friend. How do I put him down gently? He's sensitive and I don't want to hurt him. I love him to much (as a friend, kinda like brother-sister relationship). What do I do?!?

Well not telling him certainly isn't making things easier, just put it down plainly and move on...trust me he will too.

The only way to set him down is to tell him that you see him as a brother Though this will or may still make him feel a bit down but he will understand and you should tell him soon as rather than make him wait if your mind is already made up but don't be so quick as for it to look like you didn't give much thought in to it you know, maybe atleast 2 days.
I hope this helps
