writes:What am I doing wrong? My ex thinks im dumb, and my best friend just called me a dumbass.. I am hurt. I don't know what else to do, I don't have many friends and the ones I have got treat me like dirt. It is always like this. I was supposed to go out of town to visit my friend and I told him that I wasn't anymore, then he said that he was kind of anticipating it but after I told him that I wasn't going anymore he said to fuck off. He now is calling me a dumbass because I won't change, because I am a loser who still lives with her parents(im 27) and things like that. I asked him why is he talking to me if he thinks I am dumb and he said its because it entretains him.... I am very hurt because I considered him my best friend, but it hurts me that he treats me like this at times. What should I do?

 Often people name-call and and put-down to elevate themselves above others. Hence, friends with a stupid sense of superiority are no friends at all.
You may feel alone for a while, but be inventive, find some places for social interaction to make new friends. Hopefully things turn around for you.

 You should CLEARLY tell him that you don't like the way he treats you. If he continues to treat you like dirt, then end the friendship before he gets even more offensive. Friendship is about respecting each other thats the minimum. Don't let him think that he can treat you like that and get away with it because he then will lose respect for you. Take care!
