A female Canada age 30-35, anonymous writes:

A couple months ago my boyfriend and my best friend got into a fight over facebook. I had a picture and my best friend, (he is a guy btw) commented on it, saying "You are so beautiful, I love you!)

My boyfriend responded to this very negatively, he admitely got very jealous and commented back, it ended up to 32 comments of them arguing, threatening to kill eachother!

I talked to both my best friend and boyfriend about this, I explained that they are both important to me! but they didn't take my feelings into consideration at all!

My best friend hates him, and he says that if he ever sees him, that he will fight him. My boyfriend doesn't want to fight him, but still hates his guts!

It's very hard as it's summer, and I haven't seen my best friend since school ended over this, as I've been with my boyfriend the whole time.

I miss my best friend alot, but since the way he acted I feel like I should take my boyfriends side, even though he started it. I really don't know what to do, they are both very stubborn and I don't know how to get them to put this on the back burner and call it a day.

My best friend says I should of picked him over my boyfriend and I feel really stuck.

I don't want to lose my boyfriend or my best friend, and I know my boyfriend would be furious if he found out that I still hung around with him.

Are they both being immature?

lm9hi agony auntI lost my best friend becuase i didnt like her boyfriend, we were best friends for 5 years and we did EVERYTHING together, until she got her boyfriend, we just totally drifed apart because he fefused to hang about with me because we dis liked each other, im lucky if i see her once a month now. I think friends are more inportant than boyfriends, if you cant get them to sort it out between them, or sort it out so you can at least see the two of them, then i think you should go for the friend. I know it will hurt but in the end you will relise you did the ryt thing. And the chances are your relationship wont last forever anyway, but most friendships do, and if your friend knows you picked him over your boyfriend then it will make the bond betweens yous stronger as well :)

Good luck and a hope you can sort it out and keep them both :D xx
