Dear all cupids out there,

This is less of a love and relationship question and more of a question about life so i would be really grateful is anyone could answer it; thank you!

So at the moment im finding it hard to become motivated. Especially in the work side of things. Im 14 and ive got lots of important exams coming up. I can't get myself motivated to get up and go. I don't have that killer instinct in me. I let people get to the post before me thinking they deserve it but i know deep down that i could do just as well.

does anyone have any tips which could help me to get more motivated about my life

thanks

ellie

jessica04 agony auntThink of where you want to be in life, when all is said and done with in school. Can you achieve that without good marks?

At your age, school is a long, tedious process that seems to have no like at the end of the tunnel.

Try making short term goals. Save a pound a day for shopping or the like, but make a caveat that you cannot spend the money unless you receive your good grades. Tell yourself that the first Saturday of the month will be a shopping day, only if your teachers attest that you did well the whole month.

I know it sounds silly, but you need to look at the short term to make school bearable. And remember, life by the inch is a cinch, life by the yard is hard. If you can do it a little each night, and study a little every weekend, then you won't have to cram the night before a test.
