writes: okay so i know this isn't a relationship question, but i was hoping someone would possibly be able to help me in some way.i had applied to law school and gotten accepted to start in january. however, the letter they sent me for acceptance somehow got lost in the mail and i didn't receive it until just now. literally, today. it was sent the first week of this month. i apparently missed the deadline to commit to my seat and the registration date. but it wasn't my fault!! i called and left a voicemail to speak to someone but i know i won't hear back until monday, as it's thanksgiving.does anyone know about these things? is it possible to still have a chance of getting in? or is all hope lost? this was a huge opportunity for me.thanks. I was in a similar situation about a month ago! I'm in South Africa, doing an undergrad so things might work differently, buy I suggest you go straight to the university with all your money upfront and explain. It's worth it. This is your future on the line. Good luck.

reader, anonymous, writes (28 November 2013): I would think yes, it should be ok! But you'll have to explain it to them. It was not your fault. How competitive was the entrance- that might have an impact too. You dont want to miss the deadline for Harvard Law for example.
