the combined contraceptive pill worked well for me, though different brands vary. i think it was microgynon that was best for me (ie no spotting, bleeding between periods). i had a lot of bleeding with the mini pill.i have the implanon rod at the moment. i haven't experienced bleeding, but they say there is a chance you will experience bleeding with this method. apparently about 50% of users get it removed due to problems such as bleeding, feeling ill, etc. i have had no problems whatsoever! 50/50 ain't great odds, but for me it was worth a try, to not have to think about contraception for 3 years.hope that helps :)

Hello,
First of all, I would reccomend that you head down to the doctors and ask them for some advice. Obviously they are qualified to give this advice, and are probably used to these kind of problems. If they havent already, Im sure they will carry out some tests to check that you are ok, and have no other underlying problems.
I would maybe suggest looking into an IUS, which is fitted internally and can help reduce or even stop periods. It lasts for around five years, so at least theres no tablets to take etc.
Im sorry I cant be much more help, but as I said, see the doctor as Im sure they can help :) Good Luck.

If it isnt, then why dont you try this one? You have to take it every day of the month without a break.
Ask your GP, and tell him/her that you want to try pills that could possibly stop you bleeding.
However, my GP asks me whenever I go if i smoke, which i dont, and i asked why it would matter if i did, and he said that it can affect the pill?

You could try the single rod contraceptive implant. It's a very small plastic rod inserted into your skin that contains a hormone called etonogestrel to stop you falling pregnant, it lasts up to 3 years. I know people who have used this form of contraception and their period stopped the whole gestation. Here is a link that tells you more about it. That might help.
