Question - (27 May 2011) 8 Answers - (Newest, 28 May 2011)
A male United States age 30-35, *avo0116 writes:

I'm 19. Today, I went down on my girlfriend and licked her vagina a little bit. I also rubbed my fingers outside of her vagina. Everything was alright. I didn't put any of my finger inside of her. And we didn't have sex.

Then she got home and told me that when she urinated, there was little blood in her urine. She also told me that she had her tampon in while I was down on her.

I'm concerned and worried if everything's alright.

I asked her if it hurt and she said no.

What's going on? Is she going to be alright? Is she on her period?

Thank you

dmartin89 agony auntExactely what person12345 said

Women wear tampons to stop period blood leaking from their vaginas. However, when they cant absorb any more they can leak, which is why they should be changed often and bigger sizes should be used depending on the "heaviness" of their period.

I dont know why she told you that she urinated blood, she MUST have known that this was the reason.

Nothing you could do could make her bleed (except biting or rough sex).

If she was actually urinating blood, she would very likely be experincing a lot of pain in her abdomen.

person12345 agony auntSorry if this sounds a little gross, but when a woman is on her period sometimes the urine can wash a bit of blood into the toilet and it can look like peeing blood. If she had her tampon in while you were giving her oral then yes, she's obviously on her period. None of this could possibly in any way be related to you going down on her and you shouldn't worry. If it's actually in her urine, that could be a sign of a UTI if it's accompanied by pain while urinating.

No worries dude! If she has a tampon in it's because she's on her period. SometiMes my wife has that same issue when she pees while on her period.

Now if she isn't and still does, she needs to see a dr. to make sure she doesn't have a serious problem...my money's on the period tho! Hope that helps!

llifton agony auntwell if she had a tampon in she obviously must be on her period. could the blood in her urine not have been from that? either way, it's clearly not from anything you did while messing around. if it's not from her period, she should see a doctor.

a-g55 agony auntCould be cystitis or water infection. could cause a little pain when she urinates. nothing serious. if its her first time she has experienced this then tell her to see a doctor and he will prescribe anti biotics but drinking plenty of cranberry juice will help

A female reader, anonymous, writes (27 May 2011):

If she had a tampon in then I would imagine she was on her period and therefore that's where the blood as come from. I don't understand why she never told you she was on her period though and why she is letting you worry like this...very strange
