writes:i was at work the other day and was wrapping things with cling wrap, and was just thinking how is it that you use that for having safe sex when giving a girl oral? heard that was how you do it but never looked it up or did it (not worried about stds since were married) . there's no rush for this, just a curious question.

 It's called a dental dam! It's a peice of latex specifically designed for the job! It's kid of like a condom except it's just a square piece of latex that you keep between the mouth and the vagina.
I saw this on a show about safe sex once..lol

reader, anonymous, writes (7 April 2009): Basically it's used with a bit of lube to cover the entire vulvic area and clitoris, break off a small bit and cover the area.
It basically directs vaginal fluids downwards and away from the mouth, it is important not manualy penetrate though, having a bit of it break off and enter the vagina would be awkward to remove and defeats the purpose of its use.
