Were always doing our own things, dated other people. This hasn't really bothered me until recently i feel as if I've put in this much time into our relationship and i get nothing in return! I want to be with him and hes said the same,we love each other so i don't understand the problem here?! I'm afraid to just start a unnecessary fight! Should I just move on and get over it or try and start a relationship with him?

Has he said he doesn't want a relationship? Have you talked about that already? If not, you damn well should. It doesn't have to be a fight, it can be a conversation.
