Now i have invited an ex colleague if mine who I often see out of work. She was only a temp and was asked to leave because of her behaviour with the opposite sex and never doing any work! Now I'm still friends with her but when a couple of colleagues found out she was coming they were quite blunt and said they wouldn't come because they don't like her. This now puts me in an awkward position because if I uninvite her she will be offended but if she comes then my current colleagues will just bitch about it. It's my birthday and I'm allowed to invite who I want but peoples attitude are pissing me off! What do I do??? Reply to this Question Share |

You invite who you want at your party and let them choose to accept the invitation or not. You can't change their attitudes, you can only change yours. If they want to bitch about it, you can choose not to listen. Excuse yourself politely and exit the conversation.
Happy birthday!

If your 2 colleagues cannot be grown up enough to attend your party regarless of who else has been invited.. then maybe if they dont arrive it will be a good thing.
Happy birthday and remember you are no. 1

You cannot uninvite her , that would be awfully rude !
like you said,it's your birtday and your party which you are paying for- invite whom you want and do not worry about anything else.
If your two colleagues would come to the party, they would not have to be chummy with this woman or chat with her all the time - it would be enough they would act polite out of respect for you. If they don't get it- the party will be better without them.
