writes:its my best male friends birthday today and Im totally broke! I dont think even if i did have any money i couldnt decide what to get him. Any ideas guys? I want to make something (im reasonably arty) or something thats personal to him or us. I kinda also have feelings for him but thats a completely differant story :S help!

 Print him a T shirt with something personal on it, even if he wears it just to bed it will show you are thinking of him and put in a lot of effort, you get the kits from your local computer shop and the T-shirt from most shops and it is a relatively cheap pressie if you have the technology to do it.
If not then make him a DVD of favourite music again if you have the technology if not get a mate to help you who has.
Can you draw if so then maybe do them a self portrait and put it in a nice frame, maybe take a photo of there pet or of them doing something silly, print it and put in a frame.

Melt some crayons around the inside of frame and leave a space for a picture. Paint one maybe?
He'll dig it.
How about making him a funky hoodie? Personalize it with his style.
Make him a cake as well.

 Have you got some photos of you him and other friends on various nights out or just chilling. Why dont you gather as many as possible and get a large frame. Make a collage of his friends. If your arty you will enjoy cutting them up and sticking them together to create a cool collage. Plus it will mean a lot more to him as he will see you have put thought and effort into it. Also I guarantee it will get more attention then most of the other presents because it will bring back some happy memories, so I bet he will sit there for a while laughing and reminising.
