Because of our stressful work schedules, we are not able to see each other more than once or twice a year. We are both officially single, but when we talk with each other it's as if we were in a real relationship. I really do care a lot about him but the distance is really hard on me and I've been trying to slowly get over him. Anyway, I had a one night stand last night with a friend and right now I feel like I've cheated on my LD "friend." Should I tell him about this? If he asks me in the future whether or not I was with anyone in between our rare visits I intend on being completely honest. I just don't know what the right thing to do is as neither of us wants to be in a LDR but we still really care for each other. sorry about the length, some advice would be nice. Thanks

The fact you're in a state of limbo and that there is no real boundaries or terms in place, lets you off the hook. The fact you feel guilty tells you that you do have feelings for the guy.
Let this go but try to define what your long distance relationship is really all about.
