 I guess it depends on how much you like him. You're right that double standards are unfair but they exist unfortunately, so you need to decide whether you can cope with being branded a child molester/cradle snatcher etc, his parents and yours finding it strange and unnatural and not trusting you and him not being mature enough physically or mentally to fulfil your needs. If you think you can cope with all of that then go for it.
