DoubleM agony auntIn case your trouble is indeed due to a fungal infection, you could begin applying plain yogurt as a cream - and also consuming some daily. In any case, ir would cause no harm. Yogurt with live lactobacillus culture is a natural remedy for thrush, jock itch, athlete's foot and similar fungus probs. Other natural treatments include hydrogen peroxide or a mild bleach solution, but be very careful with bleach. It works fast but can burn if too strong.

DoubleM agony auntThis could be a yeast infection (thrush) or possibly tinea cruris (also known as jock itch). Both are fungal infections, and the latter is somewhat more likely in males, but can also be transmitted during sex.

i think it may be pubic lice. U can buy a shampoo over the counter to clear this. Shave any hair off down there. U can also catch this from towels, old bed blankets etc. X

I suggest you to see a doctor about it..it could be anything from genitalia herpes to maybe hygiene, maybe you did not wash yourself so well in your private parts. Anything that itch down there is a red flag.

eyeswideopen agony auntYou need to see your doctor about the itching. It could be nothing and only need over the counter medicine or you may need a prescription medication. See a professional, don't risk your health.

A female reader, kittykins United Kingdom +, writes (14 July 2011):

kittykins agony auntGet yourself to your doctor. Sounds like you could have a yeast infection, like thrush. Sex has been known to cause thrush, and can be treated with a product called Canesten. But, I would advise going to your doctor first, as it could be something else lurking down there.

Good luck:)
