We've been talking on phone/computer and now he wants to take me on a date.(He's from my school, not some random guy, we just never talked before) Some of my guy friends keep telling me he's too old. He's gonna be working, not going to college so he'll be around. Is this too much of an age gap? Reply to this Question Share |

I agree with bonym, I didn't even think that was considered an age gap! Your guy friends might be telling you this because they're a little jealous of you being with someone who is older -- When I dated a 21 year old (I was 17), some guys at my high school said they didn't like that because it made them feel like they'd never have a chance with me. Apparently older guys intimidate younger ones when it comes to the dating scene. heh
Go out on the date and have fun if you want - because in the end what really matters is what you - not your friends - want. :)

Personally, that isnt even an age gap to me! So stop worrying my dear, if you said he was 38 then I would say that is an age gap, however its not for me to say what is too much of an age gap. I have said this on numerous posts, my late grandma was 18 when she married my late grandfather and he was 46 at the time!!! Now thats a large age gap but it didnt bother her. Justas long as this guy is decent, respectful and is not just about sex, then what is the problem? Take care. xXx
