tennisstar88 agony auntYes, you are absolutely correct that is wrong. Her mother will most likely will receive or is already being beat if she tells someone. That girl's father is striking the fear in both of them with his fist.

I would urge your friend, even go with her to tell a guidance counselor, or a teacher at school..Even have her tell another adult relative, like an aunt or uncle. Or the next time you know that it's going on, call 911 and give them their address. There's also Child Abuse hotlines you can call, to report this reoccurring incident.

yes, its wrong, of course it is! An abusive parent is not a good thing!

I dont know how you would handle the situation or even if you should get involved at all, but I do know your mom is straight up wrong about that.

Doesn't matter who, if someone who is supposed to love you is abusing you, be it bf or dad, it's wrong.

No watered down advice here! agony auntI feel NO MAN SHOULD HIT A WOMAN! She's a young lady and almost a woman. If she's afraid to tell then she's being abused and he should be reported to child protective services. The mother is probably scared of him too. I think it's a thin line between discipline and abuse. I think maybe he has crossed the line. She can tell her teacher's at school, they will call children services.

Domestic abuse is domestic abuse. Relationships are absolutely irrelevant with such a poor justification illustrated there. Call the police.
