My ex girlfriend told me the other night she had a cry because she missed me even though i know she dating someone. I also have had drunken texts saying she missed me in the past.

She dumped me and its been about 8 months since we broke up.

Is this normal behavior for an ex girlfriend?

its a game . when you ignore your ex . not feed into the drama they will go away . but you cant give peope mixed message though . when its done . dont make contact for along time . because it will go in cycle . it would be like a emotional rollercoaster

Eh, there IS no normal when it comes to relationships that have ended.

I would call her on it. Next time it happens, I would text back "What do you want me to do it about that? You dumped me!" and see what she says.

sometimes it is. for some people, when they're drunk they're able to say things they wouldn't normally say otherwise like your ex gf. or, things could just be going bad with her new guy and she realizes that she misses you or is looking for someone to make her feel better. if it really bothers you maybe you could talk to her about it when she's not drunk and see how she feels?
